About Dedi Shaphir...
1989 - Dedi Shaphir began his career as a men's hair stylist at the tender age of 15 in Jerusalem, Israel.
1997 - Dedi moved to Los Angeles.
1999 - He received his California Cosmotology certification and license
1999-2001 - Dedi apprenticed with Piero in Venice, CA, & Paul Dearmas of Hair at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, CA.
During this time, he became a L'oreal color-correction specialist.
2001 - Dedi moved to Beverly Hills. He opened shop at the illustrious Dusty Fleming Salon. When Dusty sold the salon in 2001, Dedi moved to the Joseph Martin Salon in Beverly Hills.
From 2002-2004 He managed and worked at Ben Simon Salon on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. It was during this time that Dedi discovered hair extensions. He has become well known among his clients as being The Hair Extension Specialist - "When you want natural looking extensions...hair that is longer and fuller, and that no one will guess..."
2004-present - Dedi moved to the famous Melrose Avenue at Exquisite Hair Salon. He began to work with the photographer, Tal Karasso, on several seasons of advertising campaigns for Linea Pelle. Dedi appeared on two television episodes on the Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency Show. He has worked with the celebrity, Bai Ling, on the Linea Pelle campaign, showcasing his extension work.
Today - Dedi continues to see clients at Udi Salon in Beverly Hills as well as privately in client's homes and on set. Dedi travels the West Coast, seeing clients in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
